A renal DTPA scan is a nuclear medicine exam in which a small amount of radioactive material (radioisotope) is used to measure the function of the kidneys, to see how the left and right kidney work comparatively.
Indication
PUJ obstruction.
Pyeloplasty.
For GFR evaluation.
For prospective renal donar.
Acquisition Parameter As Per NITS
The acquisition will be 20 mins durations, the patient will be position under the parallel hole collimator.
The matrix for flow phase 64x64, for functional phase 128x128.
The pre injection counts and post injection counts will be taken.
The fruesamide injection will be given either in initial or after 10 mins of the scan.
